CURIOSITY
A painting set in motion, passersby encounter a vibrant landscape of blues and golden light set on the edge of land and sea. Large photographic panels and sound objects blend harmonic notes with the scenes and sounds of the Sea Organ site in Zadar, Croatia. Visitors may notice that the soundscape and layers of imagery change in response to their movement. Together participants can engage in a musical odyssey.
Curiosity is a modular interactive installation composed of video projections, sound objects, and pigment prints, all of which can be custom configured for passage ways and corner nooks.
A visually stunning environment is achieved by designing our imagery to be enhanced by compositing. A motion sensing input device, such as the Kinect for XBox One, records both the quantity and proximity of visitors, which generates a live mix of the videos layers. Ultrasonic proximity sensing sound players are spread throughout the exhibit space. For some the visitor’s proximity will trigger different harmonious tones, which mimic those produced by the Zadar sea organ; other players amplify waves crashing.

Curiosity A prototype of a modular interactive installation composed of video projections, sound objects and pigment prints.
Demo Sound The rhythm of the theme song for Curiosity gives some stability or sense of ground-ness once you get to know the place. Where our sound objects can be installed, visitors will set off sounds as they transverse the passage. Included here are a few possibilities.
