Temperament of Space Yonkers documentary
Artists Diane Mitchell and Marko Gosar created the community engagement project The Temperament of Space Yonkers to collaborate with adults of all ages who have an enthusiasm for the sights and sounds of Yonkers. Here are some snapshots from the public workshops and presentation at Riverside Library | Yonkers Public Library.
The Temperament of Space at “Dawn of Summer”
Hundreds of students packed the University Center for Dawn of Summer, The New School’s first all-night event for live music, art, activities, exhibitions, conversations, and dancing. The PIRT team presented Curiosity, an interactive art installation, from our Temperament of Space project, New York, NY, May 1, 2015.
Challenge
Challenge, one of the installations in The Temperament of Space art project, was presented in “Revisiting Arcadia: Contemporary Landscapes,” July 16-August 29, 2015 . At the center of ArtsWestchester’s sweeping Peckham Gallery, this video projection enveloped visitors in an energized, imagined landscape. The elements in the installation suggest pathways to integrating our digital practices with our embodied space.
